I Can’t Subscribe To MBC Shahid, I’m Getting An Error

If you are experiencing an issue or an error while trying to subscribe to MBC Shahid, it most likely means that there is problem with your payment method. Here are some of the root causes of these issues with suggestions on how to resolve it:
 

1. Payment transaction has failed.
2. Payment method is not accepted.
3. Technical error from MBC Shahid.
4. You are already subscribed to MBC Shahid.

If your payment transaction has failed:


If your payment method is a debit/credit card, simply ensure to follow the steps below:
 

1. Please ensure to insert the full correct format of your card. (16 digits, CVV, Expiry date)
2. Do not try multiple times on the same card to avoid getting the card blocked, and instead use a different card
3. Contact your bank to if you think your card is blocked for online purchases.
4. To re-use the same card, try using a desktop browser

If your payment method is Mobile pay, simply ensure to follow the steps below:
 

1. If your number is postpaid, we recommend that you check with your mobile operator directly to know if you have any issues on your account.
2. If your number is prepaid, only ensure to have a sufficient credit balance.
3. If you have an offer from your mobile operator, or subscribed to MBC Shahid through your Mobile operator’s app, we recommend you to please contact your service provider to check the status of your subscription.
4. If the issue still exists, try using a different mobile number.

If your payment method is iTunes or Google Play:

 

1. log in to your iTunes/Google Play account & update the payment details registered on your store.
2. If you are unable to update your payment details, please contact the relevant store.

If your payment method is a Voucher:

 

1. Your purchased voucher has to be redeemed in the same country of purchase.
2. It is recommended to use a browser, while redeeming the voucher. the following link while adding your voucher (Voucher redemption link)
3. Follow the correct format of the code during the redemption process.

When you face a technical error code such as P0014, 1801, C1102, P0004… while subscribing to MBC Shahid, here’s how you can resolve it!


It is recommended that you try another payment method. For example: from debit or credit card to iTunes, or from iTunes to Mobile pay in order to re-subscribe successfully, as this means the technical issue exists in one mode of payment for a specific period of time. Otherwise, you can try again at a later time, once the issue is resolved.  


When your payment method is not accepted: Here’s how you resolve it!
 

• If you are using a debit/credit card: avoid adding the same card on multiple accounts, as the limit per card is 3 MBC Shahid accounts.
• If you are using iTunes or Google Play: You can only use this payment method on a single MBC shahid account. Hence if you have subscribed to MBC shahid using a new email address, your subscription will automatically get activated on your previous account.

1. Delete the app then re-install.
2. Skip the popup by clicking (back) on the Remote or clicking go to home screen 
3. Login with the email that you completed your registration with. (If the registration is completed)
4. Then click“ Marketing Offers" from the menu
5.  Click "activate now" > "Agree" on terms and conditions

When MBC shahid app notifies you that you are already subscribed: here’s how you can resolve this issue.

Note: that if you are viewing incorrect subscription fees or got charged with incorrect subscription fees, this is normally a result of a VPN application running in the background in your device.


A VPN application, or a network that includes a VPN, changes the location of your device, which allows any app including to display the services and prices according to selected region. Hence, we recommend that you disable the VPN application before subscribing to MBC Shahid, & incase you got deducted already, please cancel your subscription to avoid a renewal of an incorrect deduction.
